Emma has taught Pilates for as long as she has been a physiotherapist. In 2011 she completed her Level 1 and 2 Matwork training with the Australian Physiotherapy and Pilates Institute and taught various mat based classes in Liverpool. When she moved to New Zealand, Emma taught in two different Physiotherapy and Pilates Clinics where she underwent further training in equipment based Pilates (reformer, trapeze table, ladder barrel). Since returning to the UK, Emma has taught Pilates privately and as part of her NHS role with a main focus on utilising Pilates for the management of lower back pain.
Physio- Led Pilates provides a safe environment to exercise your body. You will be guided by Emma through various postures and every exercise will be adapted to suit your individual needs.
Prior to starting the course, each class member will have to complete a health questionnaire to allow Emma to fully understand your unique goals and restrictions with movement in order to maximise your benefit from the class.
